Why use a Wiki - and no ordinary website?

After careful planning and investigating, we have decided in implementing this huge task on hand by using a Wiki.
A Wiki has many advantages over a normal website, as it caters for multi-user access and collaboration.
Wiki Technology is a true Web 2.0 implementation.
Further more, we have decided to use Wikidot.com, as we have found it to be well supported, and also giving designers (virtually) free reign to try out new stuff and developments in the dedicated space specifically created therefore, called "Community Playground" !

A "wiki" is a web-based program that allows people work collaboratively on the Internet. Any member of the wiki community can create, edit or add to a particular entry.
The term wiki comes from the Hawaiian word wikiwiki which means quick.

This Wiki is designed to give you an opportunity to do some problem-solving in a collaborative environment. The idea is that this tool will enable you to work together with other members (of this website) to solve the problems towards a common goal. Because this is a wiki, you will be sharing your thoughts and ideas with others.
Gradually your collective genius should result in a solution and at the same time you are building up a real REFERENCE STRUCTURE, too.
- Please make use of the various methods to STRUCTURE and LINK the information stored, so you and others can quickly find it, on request.

This kind of thing will only work effectively if everyone participates. Please keep your entries on point and omit personal commentary. Remember, this is an online version of face-to-face brainstorming and problem-solving.
Please also do make use of the FORUM. This was specifically created for that reason. Facebook can not compete with the power of this FORUM.
Please use it by entering the information under the appropriate TOPIC, so it is PRE-SORTED and there where other members expect it to be.

We have even catered for Quotes.

Private/Personal DISCUSSIONS are catered for under OTHER at the bottom of the FORUM. This also is for NEWS, Jokes, and other.
